Study Abroad Adventures Ahead

The time has come for me to spread my wings even further and embark on my new adventure – studying abroad in Europe for SIX MONTHS! AHHH!!! I still can’t believe it. I will be sharing my experiences by blogging and posting pictures on Instagram

I’ll be in two different programs, one during the summer semester and one during the fall semester.

The summer program consists of one month spent in Ireland, where I’ll be studying Irish Theater, as well as Acting. Theater in Ireland is very widespread and it plays an important role in Irish cultural life, so it's the perfect place to study Theater. During the first two weeks, we will be studying at the National University of Ireland in Galway. We're here at quite an appropriate time because of the Galway International Arts Festival that's going on right now! The second half of the program will be spent at the beautiful Trinity College in Dublin. I’m really excited about this program because I'll be studying what I love with some of my former cast (and also class) mates!

The fall study abroad program will be in Paris, where I'll be studying French & European Studies at the UC Center, Paris. PARIS! Need I say more? Okay, I will...I'm hoping to take Literature and Fashion as my electives. I will be staying with a host family, which I'm so excited about because I'll be able to fully immerse myself into French culture and I'll finally learn how to speak French! I don't really know what to expect, but studying abroad in Paris has been my dream for as long as I can remember. I can't wait to stroll the beautiful streets of Paris while the leaves are changing colors and sit at cafes for hours and eat all the macarons and croissants that I can! Ha!

I feel like I'm a bit ready to be on my own for a full six months, since I've been away from home at Berkeley for a year now. If I didn't have that experience under my belt, it would definitely be much harder for me. Have you studied abroad? If you have any tips that you would like to share (or if you haven't and would like to ask me questions), feel free to comment below. If you have any fun recommendations in Ireland and France, do share!

Thanks for stopping by!
